Spotlight on North Portland

Megan McInnis is one of our interns this semester from Warner Pacific College. As a senior and Christian Ministry major, Megan has led and discipled many students. Her internship this semester focuses on restarting a ministry to youth in the neighborhood of North Portland. In building relationships within the area, Megan is part of a strategizing team for event planning as well as serving hot chocolate every Friday morning to students at George Middle School. Along with the other leaders, Megan is helping to brainstorm toward beginning a club connecting with students at Roosevelt High School. Grace Christian Fellowship, Megan’s internship site, has invited her to stay in the community after her fall internship as she is a tremendous support to the initiative. We are excited for the new skills Megan is gaining and the impact she is having in North Portland for the kingdom of God!

Wesleyan Student Lunch

On December 2nd we will be co-hosting a luncheon with the Wesleyan faculty at George Fox Evangelical Seminary for students with an interest in or currently part of the Wesleyan Holiness Tradition. We hope to begin a dialogue toward encouraging a greater sense of Wesleyan community among the Seminary. Lunch is provided and all students are welcome.
